Frosty oak and sheep, DunkirkJust after sunrise on one of those very clear, bright frosty December days. Converted to black and white and duo-toned. |

Dover Harbour Outer Arm, from Connaught HillThis was originally shot on film in 1982. The negative was in a terrible state and took a long time to clean up. Heavily toned from original black and white, I love the feel of a cold winter dusk that this gives. |
Dover Castle in snowThis is as close to "chocolate box" that I get! This was shot from Castle Hill. As with some of the others this was shot in the 80s and converted this year to digital. Quad toned to give this slightly pinkish tinge. |

Tank defences, Dover CastleThese are left over from WWII because they are too tough a job to remove. The snow gives them the impression of some mad sort of housing estate built into the hillside. |
Dover Harbour, Outer Arm at sunsetThe pink glow does not actually come from the sunset but from the quad toning (its more reliable!) |

Dover Castle and grazing sheepShot from the A2 by-pass just after it opened in 1987. Strictly speaking, not an honest photo as the sky comes from 2006. (The sheep were real though!) |
Kearsney Abby beech trees - Early morning in JulyI used to walk in this park when I came off night shift in the summer and I like to think that this image catches the whole "summer light" thing. Originally off a 6x6 negative - it has been quad toned in Photoshop to give it that slightly green tinge. |

Tyre tracks in winter barley, Crundale, nr CanterburyThis is a deceptive picture as people often mistake the chalk downland in the background for sky or sea |
