Crysanthemum Marguerites |
Sedums - up against the wall!I have a suspicion that the gardener comes out each morning, calls these flowers to attention and generally makes sure that each one is still in line! Canon EOS20D; ISO 400; 17-85mm lens @85mm; 1/180, f8.0 |
Orange and greyThe rather vague title is because I cannot identify these flowers! I love the orange of the flower against the grey of the leaves. To emphasise this I converted the image to B&W in Photoshop, cut back to the original colour of the petals and intensified the colour saturation (a lot!) using blending layers. I put a graduated black border round the edge using the erase tool. |
First sign of springShot in Kingswood, Challock,a beautiful stretch of woodland, mainly chestnut coppice and birch trees. |
Chestnut leaf in puddleAnother one shot in the Kings Wood at Challock. These are the leaves from the previous Autumn that have lain in the puddle for 5 or 6 months. I love the patterns that they make where they overlay each other |
Footpath abstract IThis is the first of a series of four abstract patterns that I saw in the footpath just up the road from where I live. The camellia petal really was there - I did not carefully position it! The pictures are processed in Photoshop and various blending options to intensify the colours or tones. |
