Summerhouse Hill, FolkestoneThis image was shot in 1982 and the trees are no longer there. Originally shot on 6x6 FP4 it was later scanned into Photoshop to remove scratches and blemishes. Warm toned to simulate the results that I used to obtain on Record Rapide paper. |
Seasalter beach at sunsetThis is the view that one can see standing on the sea-wall at Seasalter near Whitstable It is also on the Saxon Shore Walk that follows the whole Kent coastline. Originally shot on my Mamiya 6x6 iin the early 90s it has now been scanned into Photoshop and lighly toned. |
Frosty oak and sheep, DunkirkJust after sunrise on one of those very clear, bright frosty December days. Converted to black and white and duo-toned. |
Dover Harbour Outer Arm, from Connaught HillThis was originally shot on film in 1982. The negative was in a terrible state and took a long time to clean up. Heavily toned from original black and white, I love the feel of a cold winter dusk that this gives. |
Dover Castle in snowThis is as close to "chocolate box" that I get! This was shot from Castle Hill. As with some of the others this was shot in the 80s and converted this year to digital. Quad toned to give this slightly pinkish tinge. |
Tank defences, Dover CastleThese are left over from WWII because they are too tough a job to remove. The snow gives them the impression of some mad sort of housing estate built into the hillside. |
