Dover Harbour, Outer Arm at sunset

The pink glow does not actually come from the sunset but from the quad toning (its more reliable!)

Dover Castle and grazing sheep

Shot from the A2 by-pass just after it opened in 1987. Strictly speaking, not an honest photo as the sky comes from 2006. (The sheep were real though!)

Kearsney Abby beech trees - Early morning in July

I used to walk in this park when I came off night shift in the summer and I like to think that this image catches the whole "summer light" thing. Originally off a 6x6 negative - it has been quad toned in Photoshop to give it that slightly green tinge.

Tyre tracks in winter barley, Crundale, nr Canterbury

This is a deceptive picture as people often mistake the chalk downland in the background for sky or sea

Electricity poles, Mystole nr Canterbury

The rolling prairies of Canterbury! This was shot by simply turning round from the burnt out barn and is similarly converted to B&W and lightly duo-toned

Dover Castle and seagulls

It is only when I have gone through my files for this gallery that I have realized quite how many photographs involve Dover Castle in some form! This one was shot at sunrise from the top of Lydden Hill, about 4 miles up the road towards Canterbury and the seagulls are a bonus that I only spotted when I was going through the images later.

This is a B&W shot which has been toned to try to bring out the sense of the spectacular colours.
